66
Being the new kid at a school is never fun no matter how old you are. The first day is a roller coaster of emotions insecurity, anticipation, and maybe you are feeling a little bit lonely. But that's totally normal. This guide will help you get rid of some of the butterflies.
Preparation:
The day before school start you need to prepare the things you are gonna need. Like books, pencils etc. you might wan't to plan out the right outfit. If you have all your things prepared you don't need to worry about that in the morning. Tell yourself that it is gonna be okay. You will get plenty of friends once you get to know people.
Arriving at the school:
Once you arrive at school people may be staring at you or greet you. That is a good thing people are interested in getting to know you. If people start talking to you be smiling and friendly. You never know that person might become your best friend. Try finding the classroom for your first class. If you can't find it ask someone. Maybe you find a kind person who will walk you to class. Once you get to class the teacher will surely introduce you to the rest of the class. Maybe the teacher will make you do a presentation of yourself which can be a little bit frightening. But it is a good way for people to get an impression of you. Appear confident and talk loud and clear.
Reflect:
The first day is hard and you are probably tired now. When you go to sleep think about the day, was it good or bad? Did you find some interesting people who you want to befriend?
Look forward to a bright day tomorrow. Things will get even more exciting when you get to know the place and the people. Who knows maybe the time at the new school will be the best of your life.
